IDA GROVE, Iowa (KCAU) — The City of Ida Grove has announced that they are under a boil advisory.
According to a Facebook post from Ida Grove, Wednesday morning’s power outage as well as the town’s water tower being empty for painting has caused a depressurization to their water system.
Due to the depressurization, the city has issued a boil advisory.
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), during a boil advisory, people should use boiled water or bottled water for drinking and to prepare and cook food.
When boiling, bring water to a full rolling boil for one minute and let cool before use. Even if water is filtered, water should be boiled.
