Novak Djokovic and Coco Gauff headline the beginning of the third round of the 2026 Wimbledon Championships. The 24-time major champion is coming off his best performance in a major in quite some time. Djokovic beat Stefanos Tsitsipas, the former No. 3 player in the world, in straight sets to advance to the third round. He will play Arthur Rinderknech on Friday.

Also in action in the men’s singles draw are defending champion No. 1 Jannik Sinner, No. 3 seed Felix Auger-Aliassime, No. 8 seed Daniil Medvedev, and No. 21 seed Tommy Paul.

Over in the women’s singles draw, top-seed Aryna Sabalenka, two-time major champion Gauff, No. 14 seed Naomi Osaka, and No. 4 seed Jessica Pegula continue their journeys.

Pegula, Osaka, and Sabalenka opened up the tournament with back-to-back straight-set wins and have not dropped a set so far. Gauff was tested with a three-set battle against Solana Sierra in her last match. She takes on fellow American Claire Liu in the third round. Sabalenka will play Jelena Ostapenko, the 2017 French Open Champion and former fifth-ranked player in the world.
