NBC shirks Trump speech

While other networks covered President Trump’s speech Thursday night, NBC stuck with its usual programming.

Instead of the president, the Peacock Network’s viewers saw bear cubs frolicking in trees on an episode of “The Americas,” a nature documentary.

ABC, Fox and CBS broadcast the president’s remarks.

Mr. Trump’s address was focused on election integrity, saying that U.S. adversaries have attempted to interfere in the election.

In his speech, Mr. Trump dinged NBC for stating ahead of time that it would not cover his remarks. He also — erroneously, as it turned out — said ABC wasn’t covering him.

“They know how corrupt our system is and they don’t want to reveal it,” the president said.

He added: “Fraud like this should mean a revocation of their licenses.”
