MLB has completed 11 weeks of the 2026 season. Certain players are having great seasons, but injuries are starting to affect some of the game’s best players. Heading into week twelve, here are the top ten starting pitchers in the league.

1. Jacob Misiorowski, Milwaukee Brewers

Jacob Misiorowski is having a phenomenal start to the season. Entering the week, he leads MLB starting pitchers in WHIP and strikeouts. He is one of the front-runners for the NL Cy Young Award.
2. Cam Schlittler, New York Yankees
Schlittler has been on a tear since his first start of the season. Entering the week, he is second in WHIP among MLB starting pitchers. He leads the Yankees in wins, WHIP, ERA, and strikeouts.
3. Cristopher Sanchez, Philadelphia Phillies
Sanchez is having an outstanding season. Entering the week, he is first in ERA and second in strikeouts among MLB starting pitchers. He has been Philadelphia’s top starting pitcher.
4. Shohei Ohtani, Los Angeles Dodgers
Ohtani has had tremendous success in his first season as a full-time starting pitcher since 2023. Entering the week, he has an ERA and WHIP below 0.80. He has been Los Angeles’ best hitter and starting pitcher.
5. Paul Skenes, Pittsburgh Pirates

Skenes is continuing to have the best start to a career in the history of the game. Entering the week, Paul Skenes is second in K/BB and third in WHIP. He will again be on the NL All-Star team.
6. Chase Burns, Cincinnati Reds
The rookie is having a fantastic rookie season. Entering the week, Burns is tied for fifth in WHIP, eleventh in strikeouts, and sixth in K/9 among MLB starting pitchers. He will be among the finalists for the NL Rookie of the Year Award.
7. Chris Sale, Atlanta Braves
The veteran has played a key role in Atlanta’s comfortable lead atop the NL East. Entering the week, Sale is fourth in K/9 and tied for eighth in strikeouts. He isn’t showing signs of slowing down.
8. Zack Wheeler, Philadelphia Phillies
Wheeler has excelled in his return from thoracic outlet syndrome surgery. Entering the week, he has a WHIP below 0.90. Zack Wheeler and Cristopher Sanchez will be the key to Philadelphia’s playoff hopes.
9. Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Los Angeles Dodgers

Yamamoto has been electric over the past month. He’s found his groove after having modest success in the first month of the season. Entering the week, Yoshinobu Yamamoto is fourth in WHIP among MLB starting pitchers.
10. Jacob deGrom, Texas Rangers
deGrom has dominated opposing hitters over the past two weeks. Entering the week, he is sixth in WHIP among MLB starting pitchers. He has been the Rangers’ top starting pitcher through eleven weeks.
