How Bleusalt became Meghan Markle’s favorite brand for ‘effortlessly elevated’ clothing
There’s nothing basic about these basics.
Meghan Markle’s coastal-chic style is a high-low mix of designer duds and pieces from accessible brands like J.Crew and Zara. However, there’s one label the As Ever founder has worn countless times: Bleusalt.
The sustainable, USA-made Malibu brand makes “elevated luxury basics” from the softest materials, with designs inspired by coastal living — so it’s no wonder the Duchess of Sussex is so devoted to the easy-to-wear pieces.
Bleusalt founder and CEO Lyndie Benson tells Page Six Style she’s “honored” to have Markle as a fan.
According to Benson, the duchess “actually discovered us herself and purchased her first outfit, the Sleeveless Turtleneck and Tube Skirt in Camel,” for a 2023 video call with her and Prince Harry’s their Responsible Technology Youth Power Fund recipients.
“Since then, she has worn Bleusalt on countless occasions, always looking effortlessly elevated and beautiful,” the CEO added.

A brand bestseller to this day, the Sleeveless Turtleneck is crafted from Bleusalt’s signature buttery fabric, a blend of modal and spandex that “[combines] the comfort of cashmere with the practicality of performance wear,” according to the company.
It comes in several neutral hues along with a handful of seasonal shades — and like everything from Bleusalt, it’s machine-washable, so it’s as effortless to care for as it is to wear. (Sizes XXS-XXXL are available for all of the line.)
The Duchess of Sussex has also been spotted in the brand’s Perfect T a handful of times, including in an episode of “With Love, Meghan.”

And she’s worn the Classic Crew in at least two hues — black and camel — wearing them during her Middle East tour earlier this year as well as in shoots for her lifestyle brand.
The long-sleeved style has a near-perfect rating from shoppers, with one — who has been buying them “for years,” writing, “They are soft, comfortable and durable.”
Another hero design? The Turtleneck, which Markle styled with a tan Max Mara coat and Givenchy sunglasses while out in Beverly Hills in 2024.

But while tops and tees might be Bleusalt’s bread and butter, the brand offers plenty of bottoms to match — like Markle’s aforementioned Tube Skirt, which can be worn casually or dressier and coordinates beautifully with the other pieces in the collection.
One shopper calls it their “favorite,” noting that it’s “so comfy and flattering”; another raves that it’s “amazing and soft.”
There’s also the A-Line Skirt, which the Duchess of Sussex paired with her go-to Brochu Walker Cashmere Crewneck for a date night with Prince Harry at a James Taylor concert last year.

And if you’re looking to take the guesswork out of tops and bottoms entirely, consider the Long Sleeve Crew Dress, which Markle styled with Hermès accessories for a flight home from a Caribbean vacation with her husband.
Essentially an extra-long version of Bleusalt’s popular long-sleeved tee, it makes a great one-and-done travel outfit — no matter where you’re headed.
