The Canadian Elite Basketball League may play its season through the summer, but the Winnipeg Sea Bears are looking to ice out their opponents with their new uniforms for 2026.

The Sea Bears launched the new duds at an event for season ticket holders at the University of Manitoba on Sunday, May 3. They move away from large team logos on the front that have dominated CEBL jerseys since the league started, and they incorporate a low-poly pattern of triangles in different shades of teal that resembles Arctic ice.

The Sea Bears’ new black jersey — CEBL teams typically wear dark jerseys at home and white on the road — features the ice pattern down the sides of the jersey and the shorts, along with a “SEA BEARS” wordmark on the chest. The collar is solid teal, but the ice pattern shows up again in the numbers on both the front and back.

The white jersey, meanwhile, uses an arched black “WINNIPEG” wordmark with a thin teal outline on the chest. The collar remains solid teal and the ice pattern stays constant on the sides and in the numbers.

Aside from these, the Sea Bears will sport two different teal alternate jerseys in 2026. The first is a carryover from 2025, with a teal base, the arched “WINNIPEG” wordmark and vertical black and white stripes down the sides. Numbers on the front and black are set in a solid black block font with a white outline.

The second features the teal ice pattern all over with a black collar and a “SEA BEARS SUMMER” wordmark on the chest. “SUMMER” is set in an orange graffiti font and sits on a large black brush stroke. The shorts that go with this jersey have an altered version of the Sea Bears’ logo on the shorts, with orange outlines and the bear sporting sunglasses. Numbers on this jersey are also black with a white outline, but are set in a different font than the other teal alternate.

Winnipeg opens its 2026 CEBL regular season on Saturday, May 9, when they visit the Edmonton Stingers. Their home opener comes a week later when they host the Saskatoon Mamba at Canada Life Centre.
