Brisebois, 28, appeared in just nine games last season in the AHL with the Abbotsford Canucks where he had a goal and two points.
The Canucks selected Brisebois in the third round of the 2015 NHL Draft.
He has appeared in 30 NHL games over parts of six seasons.
