The Commanders are headed across the pond again in 2026. The NFL announced Tuesday that the franchise would host a regular-season game at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this fall.

Washington was the visiting team for the league’s first matchup in Madrid last season. It was the Commanders’ second-ever international game and first since 2016.

The Commanders will be the designated home team for one of the three London games next season. The Jacksonville Jaguars will host the other two: one at Wembley Stadium and one at the home of Tottenham Hotspur.

The NFL has not announced who the away teams would be for the upcoming London games.

“London is home to some of the most passionate sports fans in the world. We’re grateful for the opportunity to bring the Commanders and NFL football to this unique city,” Commanders owner Josh Harris said in a news release. “This trip represents another meaningful moment to engage new communities, strengthen relationships, and continue to enhance our fanbase in the UK and worldwide.”

London has hosted at least one NFL game in 18 of the last 19 seasons — the NFL’s international slate was temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

The city will host three of the league’s record nine international matchups next season. The NFL will also host games in Madrid, Mexico City, Paris, Madrid, Melbourne and Rio de Janeiro.

“The NFL London games bring fans together from across the U.K. and beyond, and play a key role in engaging our existing fans as well as creating new audiences and driving NFL fandom in this market,” said Henry Hodgson, the general manager of the NFL’s initiatives in the United Kingdom.
