Trump to address nation on Iran war

President Trump will deliver a prime-time address to the nation on Wednesday night to address the Iran war.

“Tomorrow night at 9PM ET, President Trump will give an address to the nation to provide an important update on Iran,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt wrote on X late Tuesday.

Ms. Leavitt did not provide any more information. It is not clear whether Mr. Trump will announce any changes to joint U.S.-Israeli operation against Iran, which entered its second month earlier this week.

Since the conflict began in February, Mr. Trump has largely discussed Iran via posts on his Truth Social media platform and through reporters’ questions.

Wednesday night will mark his first prime-time address on the conflict.

Earlier Tuesday, Mr. Trump said the U.S. could end the Iran conflict in two-to-three weeks, adding that it could be sooner if Iran pushes to make a deal.

“We’re finishing the job, and I think within maybe two weeks, maybe a couple of days longer to do the job, but we want to knock out every single thing there,” Mr. Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.

The president said it’s possible Iran could come to the negotiating table, adding that it would end the conflict much sooner.

“If they come to the table, that’ll be good. But it doesn’t matter whether they come or not, we’ve set them back. It’ll take 15-to-20 years for them to rebuild what we’ve done to them,” he said.
