Sam Darnold’s collected two championship rings this year – one from the Super Bowl, another from tying the knot.
The Seattle Seahawks quarterback married his fiancée Katie Hoofnagle last Friday in Rancho Santa Fe, California, according to People. The wedding came just months after Darnold led the Seahawks to their first Super Bowl title since 2014 back in February.
Both 28, the couple pulled together a guest list that read like an NFL all-star roster. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen showed up with his wife Hailee Steinfeld; San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey arrived with his wife Olivia Culpo.
People reported that 227 guests attended the ceremony. The couple implemented a phone-free policy at their wedding – they wanted “guests could enjoy, feel comfortable and be in the moment.”
Darnold’s marketing agent, Tee Stumb, officiated the ceremony. The reception featured a band called Modern Retrospect, along with a saxophonist from Second Song.
The relationship went public in 2023 when Hoofnagle posted photos of Darnold for his 26th birthday. They got engaged this past July.
Darnold signed with Seattle in March 2025 after bouncing around the league earlier in his career. He finished the regular season with 4,048 passing yards and 25 touchdowns – numbers that set up the Seahawks’ Super Bowl run.
