Sabrina Carpenter’s Nail Artist Shares the Trends Everyone Will Be Wearing This Spring
As someone who takes hours to decide what nail color she’s getting at the salon, I live for a nail trend. A celeb inspo pic, viral Pinterest pin, or influencer-approved nail polish shade means one less decision for me to make. But instead of constantly chasing nail trends, I’m ready to get ahead of them.
So to do just that, I talked to the nail artist behind your favorite artists’ manicures—Sabrina Carpenter, Katseye, and Madonna, just to name a few—Naomi Yasuda, and got the inside scoop on the it-girl nail trends for spring. Here are the spring nail trends Naomi says we’ll be seeing grace all the cool girls’ hands this season.
Maximalist nails
Lately, it seems like nail trends have been light pink after light pink. Soap nails, bubble bath manis, and neutral nails have been on repeat. But according to Naomi, spring 2026 is switching things up, embracing maximalist styles like 3D art, texture, and metallic accents. “I’m seeing a lot of requests for mixing different finishes, such as combining cat-eye colors with chrome or pairing patterns with solids,” she said. “I even love the look of having five different designs on each finger.”
Celebrity nails at home
Now, it’s nothing new that we’re getting our nail inspo from celebs, but this spring, we’re dialing it up even more. With budgets tighter than ever, gone are the days when people were spending thousands of dollars to recreate a celebrity fashion look—but nail art? That’s a much more accessible accessory. Sabrina Carpenter’s designer bag might be out of budget, but when she’s rocking a fun, sparkly manicure, that’s something we can recreate, even at home. As people become more disciplined about their spending, nails are becoming the celeb statement piece everyone’s reaching for.
Food-inspired nails
Beauty has been taking inspo from food for a while now. I mean glazed donut nails, blueberry nails, cookie butter bronde… I get hungry just reading about beauty trends. But with more and more collabs between beauty and food brands, Naomi said nails will continue to lean into that decadent, luxurious inspo. Her own press-on collection with Magnum Dessert in the Desert ahead of Coachella is the perfect example of just how gorgeous these food-inspired nails can be. We’ll definitely see more nail trends centered around delicious combinations.
Milky whites and light golds
As for what colors the girls will be wearing this spring, there’s still something for the neutral girlies. Naomi said she’s loving milky whites and light golds for the season. It’s a great day to be a Funny Bunny stan! Though rather than plain manicures, we’ll likely see these shades paired with trends like 3D art, polka dots, and chrome.
