Streaming fans are concerned after Netflix subscription prices increased again recently to an all-time high.
Netflix’s increased library includes many shows, movies and live sports like MLB, NFL and MMA & boxing. However, fans aren’t happy with the latest update from the streaming giant.

Netflix subscription prices have increased once again for all three of its tiers, including $2 rises in the Standard and Premium selections.
Netflix is increasing their subscription prices again:
• Ad-tier: $7.99 → $8.99
• Standard: $17.99 → $19.99

The cheapest option for Netflix users remains its Ad-tier, which now goes for $8.99 per month. Meanwhile, the Standard and Premium tiers check in at $19.99 and $26.99 monthly, respectively.
The decision to raise prices comes shortly after Netflix recently spent a significant amount on a variety of content, including notable podcasts. Netflix acquired video rights to several major sports podcasts like Pardon My Take, Spittin’ Chiclets, The Bill Simmons Podcast and others.

Live sports have also made Netflix isn’t a premium option for fans of top leagues. MLB Opening Day recently kickstarted the season with the New York Yankees taking on the San Francisco Giants.
Meanwhile, the platform has also invested heavily in NFL games on Christmas Day and Jake Paul’s boxing and MMA fight cards led by Most Valuable Promotions.

Given the rising cost of other streaming platforms like YouTube TV, Hulu, ESPN and others, fans are growing tired of the streaming era. While Netflix does offer a wide array of content, it’s clear that the streaming giant isn’t afraid to continue raising prices.
