Did Sex and the City’s Kim Cattrall Return for And Just Like That’s Series Finale? The Truth
Kim Cattrall is raising a cosmo to this iconic one-liner.
While her Sex and the City character Samantha Jones had some memorable quotes throughout the series, there’s one NSFW quip that, for her, stands about the rest.
“‘They don’t call it a job for nothing,’” Kim, 69, told British Vogue in a Feb. 24 interview at London Fashion Week, her delivery and chic fur coat reminiscent of her role. “That’s very high on my list.”
Her answer is a nod to Samantha’s notable monologue, which also doubled as a lesson in hygiene, to love interest Adam Ball (played by Bobby Cannavale) in the show’s third season. In the scene, she told him she wouldn’t give him oral sex because of his body odor, describing his “spunk” as a “trip to the rotten egg buffet.”
Though Kim will always have a soft spot for her SATC character—whom she played for 12 years alongside Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis—she’s just as excited to take on characters a little closer to home.
