Bronny James is outperforming former No. 1 overall pick in recent run

Los Angeles Lakers guard Bronny James continues to work to improve his game. LeBron James’ son has been subject to criticism for the way he made it to the league, the team he plays for, and with whom. However, he has worked to improve his level while waiting for his opportunity.

James continues to show improvement in his game, and his recent run confirms that he has evolved. So much so that he is outplaying the 2024 No. 1 overall pick, Zaccharie Risacher, in the last four games.

StatsMuse shared a post comparing James’ numbers to Risacher in the last four duels, and the difference is clear. While Risacher has shot 32.4% from the field, 27.8% from beyond the arc and 33.3% from the free-throw line, James has shot 57.9% from the floor, 80.0% from deep and 66.7% from the free-throw line.

They both scored 28 points over that span, but the Lakers guard was clearly more efficient.

Bronny James had his best game against the San Antonio Spurs

As multiple Lakers veterans, including his father and Luka Doncic, sit out Tuesday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs, Bronny James played at a solid level. He played 25 minutes, scoring 12 points, grabbing three rebounds and dishing out six assists with one block.

He shot 50% from the field and 100% from deep. The Lakers couldn’t keep up with Victor Wembanyama (40 points on 13 of 20) and the Spurs. The Texan team cruised to a 136-108 win, which included a 47-point first quarter. Bronny left good sensations again, confirming that he has a bright future in the association.
