The UFC plans to host an unparalleled event at the White House in June. After President of the United States Donald Trump floated the idea of hosting an event in the building, Dana White and Co. started working to put together a memorable card.
TKO president Mike Shapiro revealed that it would take $60 million to make the event happen, and the company wouldn’t profit off it, but they are looking forward to giving fans a huge experience. While the official card remains undisclosed, some fighters have hinted at their participation in the ambitious event.

MMA insider Ariel Helwani shared a video of heavyweight Jon Jones confirming that he is in talks to make a return to the company to fight at the White House event.
“I’m in negotiations with the UFC about this White House thing, as well,” Jones said. “I’m a very, very proud American and I cannot wait to represent one more time, so we’ll see what happens.”
Jon Jones hasn’t fought in the UFC since Nov. 16, 2024, when he beat Stipe Miocic for the world heavyweight championship. Fellow heavyweight fighter Tom Aspinall challenged him multiple times, but Jones dismissed the calls, as he didn’t think it would be a super fight.
Helwani noted that Jones could take on Alex Pereira in Washington, D.C., although the 38-year-old didn’t mention an opponent.

Jon Jones on why he would like to fight Alex Pereira

Back in November, Jon Jones revealed that he would like to fight Brazilian star Alex Pereira, one of the biggest names in the company.
“It would be a blockbuster event,” Jones said. “He’s incredibly respectful, he’s a household name … no one loses in that fight.”
Pereira, a two-category champion, vacated his light heavyweight championship earlier this week, adding to the rumors about a potential fight with Jones. After dominating the light heavyweight category for multiple years, Jones started picking his fights.
Going against Pereira looks like the type of challenge that would entice him. Official confirmation of this and other fights haven’t come yet.
