Michael Conforto did little to help the Los Angeles Dodgers win their second consecutive World Series title in 2025.
The 32-year-old outfielder endured a career-worst season at the plate, slashing .199/.305/.333 in 138 games. His batting average would have been the lowest in Major League Baseball, if he had enough plate appearances to qualify for a batting title. The Dodgers did not include Conforto on any of their postseason rosters.

Now, Conforto will try for a bounceback season with another National League playoff hopeful: the Chicago Cubs.
As first reported by Jon Heyman of the New York Post on Sunday, Conforto has a minor league contract with the Cubs for the 2026 season.
Conforto, an All-Star with the New York Mets in 2017, gives the Cubs another veteran outfielder in camp to push for playing time, along with Dylan Carlson and Chas McCormick.
The Cubs will get Conforto at a significant discount from the $17 million he made last year in Los Angeles. The financial terms of his new contract have yet to be reported.
In 10 seasons at the MLB level, Conforto has hit .245 with 179 home runs and 556 RBIs for the Mets (2015-21), San Francisco Giants (2023-24) and Dodgers.
