The Cleveland Browns are losing another key piece of their offensive line. Right guard Wyatt Teller won’t be coming back in 2026 – he’s moving on after seven seasons with the team.
Teller and his wife Carly made it official Wednesday with an Instagram post saying goodbye to Cleveland.
While we are excited and look forward to what the future holds, Cleveland will always have a special place in our hearts.
The 31-year-old guard started 94 of his 101 career games in Cleveland. During that stretch, he earned three Pro Bowl selections and made three All-Pro teams – solid recognition for an offensive lineman who came to the Browns as a fifth-round pick from Buffalo back in 2018.
Things started shifting for Teller late this season, though.
Against San Francisco in Week 13, the Browns began splitting snaps between Teller and Teven Jenkins. Teller hurt his calf in that game; he ended up missing the next three weeks. When he came back in Week 17, the injury flared up again. Days later, Cleveland placed him on injured reserve.
Despite the Pro Bowl pedigree, Teller’s 2025 season wasn’t his best. He ranked 57th out of 65 qualifying guards in ESPN’s pass block win rate metric. His run blocking fared better but still sat at 40th among 62 guards in run block win rate – not exactly the numbers you’d expect from a three-time All-Pro.
Teller had talked about wanting to finish his career in Cleveland. But when the Browns put him on IR, he seemed to know which way the wind was blowing.
“I don’t want it to be [my last game], but if it is, it is. I enjoyed my time,” he said at the time.
He’s not the only one headed out the door. Tight end David Njoku, also set to hit free agency, posted on Instagram last week that his time with the Browns is done too. Cleveland’s offense is clearly getting a makeover – whether they wanted one or not.
The Browns are looking at some serious changes this offseason, and losing a veteran presence like Teller is just the start of what could be a pretty significant roster turnover.
