From to-die-for press tour looks to Jacob Elordi and Margot Robbie dropping unhinged quotes about their on-set relationship, Wuthering Heights has been all over everyone’s timelines. Whether you love its rejection of period accuracy in favor of campiness or are seeking vengeance for Emily Brontë, there’s no escaping the buzz. And it’s not just on our screens—one of the most highly anticipated parts of the release was the accompanying Charli xcx score and an entire album inspired by the film.
Since the release of Brat, we’ve been not-so-patiently awaiting more music, and truly, what more could we ask for than an album tied to the biggest pop culture moment of 2026 so far? It’s an album for yearners, for the delusional, for the people that can’t move on if their lives depended on it, which is Wuthering Heights in a nutshell. Now that it’s officially in our hands, we called together our most dedicated Angels to take on the impossible task of ranking every song. Without further ado, our lineup is as follows:

12. “House”
Lauren: 2/5
I love the eerie vibes of this one, but unfortunately, the TikTok memes have slightly ruined it for me… the consequences of being chronically online. That said, it’s a great album opener and sets the tone fabulously. We’re immediately thrust into Charli’s Wuthering Heights-inspired world, and I knew the album was going to have me in its grip, even if this song is a bit of a skip.
McKenna: 1/5
Unfortunately, I can only think of the TikTok audio it’s become, and it’s funny af, so I’m fine with that. I would never just listen to this at my leisure, as it feels more like an ancient curse that got remixed on Soundcloud than a song, but to each their own. Fun opener!

It caught my attention (derogatory)! But I do think it’s fun and eerie, just simply not one I’m ever going to willingly listen to again
11. “Open up”
Lauren: 2/5
No shade to an interlude, but it’s just never going to compare to a full song. We do get some glorious Charli vocals here, but I doubt it’ll make its way onto my playlists. Giving it a 2 out of 5 feels mean… but there’s just not quite enough to warrant anything higher IMO.
McKenna: 1/5
Like Lauren said, it’s all love to interludes, but like, will I ever come back to play this one on its own? No. This and “House” will probably never grace my Spotify again, no shade.
Abi: 2/5
Charli x The Chicago Symphony Orchestra live show, when? This one will go on the “kinda instrumental need to lock in” playlist, and listening to this on a walk would remind me I’m alive, but it’s not getting anywhere near my Spotify Wrapped.
10. “Altars”
Lauren: 3/5
I’m a little split on “Altars.” I love the chorus, but something about the beat in the verses just doesn’t fully do it for me. Maybe I’ll feel differently over time, but for now, it’s not a skip; it’s just not on repeat either.
McKenna: 2/5
The lyric “you were my perfect blue” is giving Rupi Kaur (derogatory). TBH, all of the lyrics are a little too on the nose in a corny way. I do love the production in the chorus, though.
Abi: 2.5/5
I concur—I rock with the chorus and love the sort of mental gymnastics in some of the lyrics, but the verses don’t do it for me as much.
9. “Eyes of the World”
Lauren: 4/5
I love almost everything about this song… except for Sky Ferreira’s verse (sorry queen). Something about it took me out of the song a bit, and I wanted to skip forward like 30 seconds until it was done. That said, literally everything else is incredible, so it still ends up with a high rating from me.
McKenna: 2/5
Thematically speaking, it doesn’t really blend into the rest of the album for me. And Sky girl… I love her, but she did not need to be on this. I don’t hate it by any means, but compared to other tracks, it’s at the bottom of the totem pole.

8. “My Reminder”
Lauren: 3/5
The sound of this song feels so upbeat and cute, and then you actually listen to the lyrics, and they’re low-key heartbreaking. Like, “I don’t hate you, I love you too much, but I won’t tell you ’cause we’re just different now.” OUCH. I love the juxtaposition of the lyrics against the melody, but it’s not one of my top favs from the album.
McKenna: 3/5
“You’re always my reminder, I’ll never prove you wrong” …getting slapped in the face would hurt less. I kind of like putting these lyrics over production that’s more upbeat—someone being your reminder of where you came from can be a really comforting thing (get that happy synth up, hey now!) but also so painful (the lyrics…).
Abi: 3/5
Nothing really stuck out with this one… don’t love, don’t hate.
7. “Seeing Things”
Lauren: 3/5
Thank God, an anthem for the delusional girls. For some reason, this gives me Bridgerton vibes in the best way. It just seems like the kind of banger they’d be waltzing to a string quartet version of at a ball. It didn’t stick with me as much as “Dying for You,” which I feel like has a similar sound, so it landed more in the middle of the pack for me.
McKenna: 4/5
If this came out before the last season of The Summer I Turned Pretty, it would’ve gone triple platinum in a Belly longing for Conrad sequence. The production wasn’t as WOW as I would’ve liked, but I do love it. Like, I can actually see it in my usual rotation of songs.
Abi: 3.5/5
This one is most likely to get a top spot on my playlists. Is it a standout in the album? Not particularly, but it will be living on past this project for me.
6. “Chains of Love”
Lauren: 4/5
For those of you who think Wuthering Heights is just a romance, this song perfectly exemplifies how Cathy and Heathcliff’s relationship is just as toxic and obsessive as it is romantic. But isn’t that why we love it? This was absolute perfection in the film, and I’m still obsessed even without Jacob Elordi on my screen to gawk at.
McKenna: 4/5
The beat drop at the chorus… inject it into my veins. The repetition of “the chains of love won’t break” is basically the entire plot of Wuthering Heights summed up in six words, so it was definitely the right choice for the single IMO.
Abi: 3/5
This was toxic situationship on steroids. May this love never find me!
5. “Always Everywhere”
Lauren: 3/5
I’m biased because I generally love an upbeat Charli moment more than her take on a ballad, but I’m still completely charmed by “Always Everywhere.” It encapsulates Cathy and Heathcliff’s love so perfectly. While it’s not something I’d personally add to my playlist, I can absolutely appreciate the lyricism.
McKenna: 5/5
If you’re going through a breakup right now, skip this one, babe. Once again, real yearners rise!!! This one in particular feels SO heartbreaking—there’s something deeply tragic about describing someone as “lightning in your veins” and being able to “hear their laughter through the rain” in a way that’s haunting you. Ugh.
Abi: 4/5
This one and “Seeing Things” had me going “canon event, unfortunately.” Capturing a feeling that is not unique to Catherine and Heathcliff but certainly fits the vibe, and I really love the musicality of this one.
4. “Out of Myself”
Lauren: 5/5
On. Repeat. The second this one started, I was hookedddd. “Push my cheek into the stone,” “Put the rope between my teeth”—I am positively blushing, Ms. xcx. This song makes me wish I had a toxic situationship I was hopelessly in love with just so I could scream-sing it more authentically.
McKenna: 3/5
A truly middle-of-the-pack track for me. Production is a bit more upbeat pop-ish than the “oh my god love is pain” vibe every other track has going on, but that didn’t make it better by any means. “Please rub the salt in my wounds/I like the person you turn me to” did hit me like a truck, though.
Abi: 4/5
Sue me—I love a bop! This makes me walk back previous statements about keeping a toxic situationship far away from me.
3. “Funny Mouth”
Lauren: 5/5
YUPPPP. This is the marriage of Wuthering Heights Victorian aesthetics and Charli xcx hyperpop realness I was hoping for when this album was announced. I want nothing more than to whip my hair around in a corseted ballgown under strobe lights like I’m Charli on the Sweat tour. If you get the vibe, you get the vibe.
McKenna: 3/5
Agreed with everything Lauren said—this is what I envisioned the vibe of this album being. Bringing it all to an end with “But if there’s a light, don’t let it go out/Take it in stride, put your foot in your mouth/Will we be alright?” is exactly how it needed to come to a close when you think about Catherine and Heathcliff’s story. The song on its own isn’t my favorite, but I think for the sake of being a soundtrack for Wuthering Heights, it hit the nail on the head.

Agree with everything y’all said on this one! This vs. the way the album opens is such a stark contrast and a whole vibe in itself.
2. “Wall of Sound”
Lauren: 4/5
“Wall of Sound” wasn’t an instant top three for me on my first listen, but I can definitely see it being a slow burn that eventually climbs the ranks. I love the classic Wuthering Heights-esque accompaniment in the background, setting the tone. I’m also a sucker for a “this is me trying”-esque anthem.
McKenna: 5/5
This feels like she’s letting out this deep, aching pain in the most diva way. The buildup of “everytime I try” followed by all the reasons she’s getting in her own way is incredible, and I can envision myself crying cathartically to this in my car when the time comes. Into it!
Abi: 4/5
This is a song that will be played a limited number of times for the sake of my mental health. But I will, unfortunately, be dancing around my home with my hairbrush as a mic while listening to this one when I kind of want to feel terrible.
1. “Dying for You”
Lauren: 4/5
Earworm alert! I will be singing “I was dying for you” in my head for the rest of the workday. If you love the upbeat club classics on Charli’s Brat, I feel like this will be one of your favorites. It has that dancey energy that makes me want to get off my ass and bop around.
McKenna: 5/5
TURN THIS UPPPPP. I need to hear this in a club filled with strobe lights while I stare at my situationship across the room à la Heated Rivalry. She’s really leaning into the Wuthering Heights themes of self-sabotage and yearning, without turning to a ballad, which I love and respect. Her brat came out on this one, IDK.

“Yeah, you’re my favourite jewellery, worn just like a noose ’round my neck” stopped me in my tracks. The Charli we know and love.
