Every time I open TikTok, I’m reminded that my FYP knows me better than I know myself. So when I got engaged last year, it was no surprise that the app started serving me bridal glow up content almost immediately. Since then, I’ve scrolled through hundreds of videos recommending different beauty products or wellness techniques to help me look my best for the big day. One recommendation I saw fellow brides-to-be share over and over again was the Gabby George bridal arms workout series. After seeing several videos about the transformational powers of this workout, I decided to finally see for myself what all the hype was about. I hit the gym with a TikTok video, 2.5-pound dumbbells, and a dream to look my best in my wedding photos. Read on for more details about this viral workout, my experience giving it a try, and my honest thoughts on if it’s worth including in your wedding prep.

What is the Gabby George bridal arms workout series?

It wasn’t until late 2025 that I discovered Gabby George (a creator certified in barre, mat Pilates, personal training, holistic health coaching, and breathwork, with over five years of group fitness teaching experience), but she’s been sharing videos featuring her healthy meals, chic athleisure sets, and quick yet effective workouts on TikTok since 2023. After Gabby shared photos and videos from her wedding in 2024, followers started asking for tips and tricks to get their arms as sculpted as hers. Gabby delivered with her Bridal Arms Series, which features 5-ish minute workout videos that can easily be done from the comfort of your home (while brewing coffee or watching TV) or at the gym. If you want to use weights, Gabby recommends 2-3 pounds, but all the exercises can be done with just your body weight too. Whether you’re a bride hoping to look your best in a strapless wedding dress or just want to get toned arms in time for summer, Gabby suggests staying consistent by doing her exercises five days a week for four months.

You can start with her Bridal Arms Series 1.0 playlist and work your way up to the Bridal Arms Series 2.0 and 3.0 playlists, which are slightly longer and more advanced. The best part about these workouts? They’re all available for free on TikTok or YouTube, so you don’t have to worry about factoring another expense into your wedding budget.

My experience

When it comes to workouts, I’ve never been much for arm and shoulder exercises—my arms burn plenty after drying my hair, and I much prefer doing lower body workouts when I hit the gym. But I was up for the challenge if it meant looking and feeling good in my off-the-shoulder wedding dress in a few months.
It felt a little awkward at first to navigate a TikTok playlist for my workout rather than using a fitness app or a written plan, but I got used to it pretty quickly as long as I could remember which workout I left off with.

I did one workout video from the Bridal Arms Series 1.0 each day, and I stuck pretty closely to Gabby’s instructions. Most of the time, I used 2.5-pound dumbbells like she recommends, but I occasionally had to drop the weights or take a quick break when I really started to feel the burn. I was pleasantly surprised how effective these workouts felt for being so short. In theory, five minutes doesn’t sound like much, but my arms were already shaking after the first workout.

Even on days when the workout didn’t feel that hard or complicated in the moment, I always felt sore afterward. And honestly, I loved that. Instead of feeling like I was getting used to the workouts, it felt like I was challenging myself since each workout featured new exercises every day. This also helped keep me engaged rather than mindlessly repeating the same circuit over and over again. After just 10 days, my arms, shoulders, and triceps are looking more toned. It’s made me excited to see what my results will be after a few more months of keeping up with the program.

“…In this season of life when wedding planning already feels like a full-time job, finding a routine that I can realistically stick to is key.”

Final thoughts

If you’re a bride-to-be (or anyone really) looking for a simple, approachable way to tone your arms, the Gabby George bridal arms workout series is absolutely worth trying. No, it’s not magic, and no, 10 days isn’t going to completely change your body. But it will help you establish a workout routine that isn’t overly complicated or takes up a ton of time (something we brides don’t have enough of). And if you stick with it for five days a week for a few months, I can completely understand why so many people swear by it.

For me, the biggest takeaway was that these workouts are the definition of “low effort, high reward.” They’re short enough that I never felt like I needed to psych myself up to do them, but challenging enough that I felt the burn every single time. And in this season of life when wedding planning already feels like a full-time job, finding a routine that I can realistically stick to is key. Would I recommend it? 100%. I’m planning to keep doing these workouts leading up to my wedding, and I can honestly see them becoming my go-to arm workout even after the big day. Because if just five minutes can leave me feeling sore and looking toned, I won’t argue with that.
