Twelve years on from her first appearance in a Wimbledon final, Kristina Mladenovic will look to upset the odds alongside Guo Hanyu in Sunday’s ladies’ doubles decider. The No. 10 seeds have navigated a difficult run to Center Court and face one more mammoth task as they take on second seeds Gabriela Dabrowski and Luisa Stefani.

Mladenovic, 33, and Guo, 28, have already surprised the bookmakers this year and knocked No. 1 seeds Taylor Townsend and Katerina Siniakova out of the running. The devastating duo has dropped a single set in five matches together thus far at SW19, though there’s one team still out there with an even better record.

Brazil’s Stefani and Canadian Dabrowski, each of whom already has doubles Grand Slam titles to their name, have yet to lose even one set in the competition. Stefani can also complete her set of major gongs on Sunday, with two U.S. Open titles (ladies), a French Open, and an Australian Open (both mixed) already in her cabinet, while Dabrowski has finished runner-up in this fixture in both 2019 and 2024.

That being said, while Guo may be the least prolific of the bunch at this level, partner Mladenovic is the most decorated with six major doubles titles under her belt, along with two WTA Finals. Guo has played a critical role in getting their team to this point, however, and now stands on the verge of possibly becoming just the fourth Chinese athlete to be crowned a Wimbledon winner.
