MCC appoints Carmen Becker as president for Americas

US-based prime label solutions provider Multi-Color Corporation (MCC) has named Carmen Becker as president for the Americas.

Becker most recently served as president of Honeywell Sensing Solutions. Before that, she held senior leadership roles at Tetra Pak and Amcor.

MCC said she has led complex organisations and overseen growth, alongside operational and commercial transformation.

In her new role, Becker will be the profit and loss (P&L) leader for the Americas. She will be responsible for profitable growth and operational performance across the region.

Her priorities include improving commercial execution, strengthening customer relationships, tightening forecasting discipline, and lifting operational performance.

This will cover areas including quality, service levels, onboarding and productivity.

Becker will also join MCC’s executive leadership team and will be based in Atlanta, Georgia, US.

The appointment comes after MCC completed its financial restructuring in May this year and emerged from its prepackaged Chapter 11 process.

The restructuring reduced net debt by $3.8bn. It also lowered annualised cash interest expense by more than $330m and extended long-term debt maturities to 2033.

According to the company, more than 99% of voting stakeholders approved MCC’s Plan of Reorganisation.

Upon emergence, MCC also received $889m in new common and preferred equity investment from CD&R and a group of its existing secured lenders.

The funding is intended to support the company’s long-term growth and investment plans.

In the same month, MCC also appointed Li Wen as senior vice-president of marketing and product management.

Wen previously served as graphics solutions global vice-president at Avery Dennison, where he led a business with revenue of more than $600m.
