The World Cup may have its first knockout.
Tunisia is set to fire coach Sabri Lamouchi after its 5-1 loss to Sweden in its tournament opener on Sunday, The Athletic‘s Nnamdi Onyeagwara reported on Monday.
Lamouchi would become the first coach ever fired one game into the World Cup, per The Athletic.
The 54-year-old Frenchman had just five matches at the helm, coming away with one win, three losses and a draw after being hired in January.
It is unclear who will replace him on Tunisia’s sidelines.
The North African side returns to action Sunday against Japan.
