The 2026 FIFA World Cup is finally here, with the best and brightest soccer stars coming to North America for the biggest tournament in history. Mexico, the United States, and Canada are serving as co-hosts for the World Cup, which will feature a field of 48 nations for the first time ever.
Mexico is the favorite in Group A, which also includes Czechia, South Africa, and South Korea.

Mexico’s World Cup roster also includes veteran goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, who is appearing in his record sixth World Cup. Rising star Gilberto Mora will become the youngest Mexican ever to play in the World Cup at just 17 years old.

El Tri kicks off its 2026 World Cup campaign on Thursday, June 11, when Group A play gets underway against South Africa. Mexico has a 57 percent chance of advancing to the knockout rounds, according to the prediction markets.
