David Grohl shared how he connects with his wife, Jordyn Blum, and their three kids nearly two years after he welcomed a baby outside of his marriage.
“The first thing I do when I come home from being on tour is I like to cook for the family,” the Foo Fighters frontman, who shares kids Violet Maye, 20, Harper Willow, 17, and Ophelia Saint, 11, with Blum, told “The Dish” podcast Wednesday.
“Whether it’s making a roast over the weekend or it’s a pasta, I usually bring the comfort,” he added, “like, I’m home and I bring the comfort to the kids.”
Grohl had to fight to keep his family together after he announced that he fathered a fourth child with a woman who was not his wife.
“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” he wrote on Instagram in September 2024.
“I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” he added.
In February 2025, Page Six exclusively confirmed that Jennifer Young was the mother of Grohl’s fourth baby.
Young and the baby — whose name she did not disclose due to “really angry fans” — had been living in a Los Angeles neighborhood with her mother.
The affair was really “rough” on Blum. At one point, she even stopped wearing her wedding ring.
However, last March, a source told Us Weekly that the actress, 49, decided to give their marriage a second chance.
“Jordyn has forgiven Dave and is trying to move on,” the insider told the outlet.
“She is [still] completely devastated by the situation but is standing by his side.”
The source added that Grohl and Blum — who wed in 2003 — are “going to counseling” and the rockstar “has been doing anything he can to win back Jordyn’s trust.”
“Neither of them wants the family broken,” the insider added.
