President Trump cautioned Iran late Wednesday night that the U.S. military is standing by with additional ammunition and weapons to take action against Iran if necessary until an authentic agreement is reached and complied with.
“All U.S. Ships, Aircraft, and Military Personnel, with additional Ammunition, Weaponry, and anything else that is appropriate and necessary for the lethal prosecution and destruction of an already substantially degraded Enemy, will remain in place in, and around, Iran, until such time as the REAL AGREEMENT reached is fully complied with,” Mr. Trump said in a Truth Social post.
Mr. Trump said, “If for any reason it is not, which is highly unlikely, then the ‘Shootin’ Starts,’ bigger, and better, and stronger than anyone has ever seen before. It was agreed, a long time ago, and despite all of the fake rhetoric to the contrary – NO NUCLEAR WEAPONS and, the Strait of Hormuz WILL BE OPEN & SAFE.”
The president said the military is “loading up and resting, looking forward, actually, to its next conquest,” adding that “America is back!”
In a previous post, Mr. Trump criticized The New York Times and CNN for each reporting about a 10-point plan on the Iran negotiations, which Mr. Trump said were “totally fake.”
“The Failing New York Times and Fake News CNN each reported a totally FAKE TEN POINT PLAN on the Iran negotiations which was meant to discredit the people involved in the peace process,” he said. “All ten points were a made up HOAX – EVIL LOSERS!!! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.”

A CNN spokesperson told The Washington Times, “The statement in question was obtained by CNN from Iranian officials and reported on multiple Iranian state media outlets. We received the statement from specific official Iranian spokespeople who are known to us.”
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters at a White House briefing Thursday that Iran “could no longer tolerate being bombed or taking the gamble of what was to come following President Trump’s 8 p.m. deadline” on Tuesday and that Iran has agreed to open the Strait of Hormuz.
According to Ms. Leavitt, the White House received a proposal from the Iranians that has been determined to be a workable basis on which to negotiate.
“The Iranians originally put forward a 10-point plan that was fundamentally unserious, unacceptable and completely discarded. It was literally thrown in the garbage by President Trump and his negotiating team,” she said, adding that many outlets had falsely reported on that plan as being acceptable to the U.S.
Ms. Leavitt said negotiators will use a two-week ceasefire to “put some fine points” on a final agreement that achieves long-term peace.
She said ending Iran’s uranium enrichment program is a key point that must be included in a final deal, and she warned media outlets not to accept Iranian talking points. There were reports that Iran and the U.S. had put forward conflicting demands for a peace agreement.

“The idea that President Trump would ever accept an Iranian wish list as a deal is completely absurd,” Ms. Leavitt said. “The president will only make a deal that serves the best interests of the United States of America.”
