South Korean authorities say 11 people were killed when a huge fire engulfed a car parts plant in the central city of Daejeon. Three others are still missing and 59 were injured.
Videos show huge flames and thick smoke pouring from the building, with firefighters struggling to contain the blaze. There were 170 workers inside when it broke out.
Firefighters said they were unable to enter the structure earlier due to concerns it would collapse. There was also a risk of igniting sodium stored there.
An overnight search began for those missing, after the building was deemed safe to enter. Authorities did not immediately confirm the cause of the blaze, but said it appeared to have spread rapidly.
