The National Hockey League trade deadline takes place on Friday. With the Vancouver Canucks one of the worst teams in hockey, do not be surprised if they start to make transactions.
Here are three of the most likely Canucks to be traded this week. All three of the Canucks have something in common. They are all unrestricted free agents at the end of the season.
Evander Kane

Kane is a native of Vancouver, British Columbia, but it is unlikely he will be in his hometown at the end of the week. The 34-year-old who is making $5.125 million this season, and is almost certainly going to be traded to a contender.
In 58 games, Kane has 10 goals and 16 assists for 26 points. He is a -20 with 78 penalty minutes, six power-play points, one game-winning goal, 142 ahots on goal, 17 faceoff wins, 22 blocked shots, 97 hits, 14 takeaways and 61 giveaways.
Kane’s game-winning goal came on December 16 in a 3-0 Canucks shutout win over the New York Rangers. Kane scored from Brock Boeser of Burnsville, Minnesota and Elias Pettersson of Vasteras, Sweden at 1:46 of the first period.
David Kampf

Kampf was placed on waivers earlier this season by Toronto and picked up by Vancouver. The multi-positional forward was in the Maple Leafs doghouse earlier this season, but had a decent Olympics for his native Czechia, as he had three points in five games.
This season, Kampf is making $1.1 million. In 36 games, he has two goals and four assists for six points. He is a -12 with eight penalty minutes, 36 shots on goal, 269 faceoff wins, 19 blocked shots, 40 hits, six takeaways, and 18 giveaways.
Teddy Blueger

The veteran center from Riga, Latvia is making $1.8 million this season. Blueger missed 43 games earlier this season with a leg injury, but has played the last 10 games for the Canucks.
In 12 games, Blueger has five goals and three assists for eight points. He is a +1 (which increases his trade value), with two penalty minutes, two shorthanded points, one game-winning goal, 23 shots on goal, 74 faceoff wins, four blocked shots, 28 hits, two takeaways and 10 giveaways.
Blueger’s game-winning goal came on October 19 in a 4-3 Canucks win over the Washington Capitals. He scored at 4:54 of the second period. Kane and defenseman Tyler Myers picked up the assists, which gave the Canucks a 4-0 lead at the time.
