2026 Winter Olympics medal count, tracker entering February 11


Nothing tells the story of the Winter Olympics more than the medal count in Milan-Cortina, which highlights each country’s success across the variety of events over the two weeks of competition.

With the medal events ramping up, all eyes are on the medal table, which is currently topped by Norway, after a dominant performance in cross-country skiing and strong performances in ski jumping, speed skating, and biathlon.

Norway has 12 medals in total and currently leads the gold medal count with six.

Following the Norwegian team is Italy (11) and Japan (8), while the United States (7), with Sweden (6) and Germany (6) tied to round out the top five.

Team USA’s early success

The United States has won seven total medals entering Wednesday’s full slate of events, including the team overall gold in figure skating after an epic performance from the “Quad God” Ilia Malanin.

Team USA downhill skier Breezy Johnson also came through in the clutch with a gold over her own, becoming the second American woman to place first in the event at the Winter Olympics.

The United States added its first-ever mixed doubles medal in curling with a silver from Korey Dropkin and Cory Thiesse, along with a silver in cross-country skiing, freestyle skiing, and a bronze in luge.
