Fitness During Pregnancy
Lara’s commitment to fitness continued throughout her pregnancies. She shared a video on Instagram doing lunges with a medicine ball just five weeks before giving birth in 2017. While some followers expressed concern, many praised her dedication. Contrary to popular belief, physical activity during pregnancy isn’t inherently dangerous and can even ease the delivery process.
Lara described her first pregnancy as “incredibly easy” and emphasized the importance of maintaining her workout routine for sanity. I knew I needed to workout for my sanity, and I try [to] make it a daily habit if I can, so I count myself very lucky that I have been able to keep doing that while pregnant,” she said online.
She repeated this impressive feat during her second pregnancy in 2019, even hitting the gym at 36 weeks.
Not only did Lara continue working out during her pregnancies, but she also quickly resumed her fitness regimen postpartum. She completed a half marathon within three months of her first delivery and was back on a horse just three weeks after her second child was born.
