Hwy 20 from Moville to Lawton to undergo construction this summer

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A stretch of highway in Woodbury County will experience intermittent lane closures as a result of a construction project.

According to a release from the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT), crews will begin to work on Highway 20 from east of Moville to Lawton on April 1 if weather allows. Patching, milling and resurfacing work will be done until August 30.

Drivers in this work zone will be shifted onto a lane that work is not taking place on.

This construction is in addition to the work being done on the Highway 20/75 interchange just outside Sioux City.

The Iowa DOT also reminded drivers to be safe on the road, especially in work areas. It’s recommended for people to pay attention to work signs and stay alert.
