Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie will miss Tottenham‘s clash with Wolves on Saturday due to injury, Ange Postecoglou confirmed on Friday.

The north London club, who sit fourth in the Premier League behind Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal, have played an expansive brand of football during Postecoglou’s first season at Tottenham.

Porro and Udogie have flourished as attacking wing-backs in the Australian’s system, establishing themselves as first choice stars on the right and left flanks respectively.

Despite confirming that the pair were suffering from minor injuries on Friday, Postecoglou urged that he will not change his tactics or philosophy against Wolves but admitted their presence in the team will be missed.

Tottenham’s absentees will have an extra game to recover thanks to Chelsea‘s commitment in the Carabao Cup final later this month. Spurs were initially scheduled to travel to Stamford Bridge after facing Wolves in north London.

‘Destiny picked up a knock last week and he’s not available for tomorrow,’ Postecoglou said. ‘I don’t think it’s anything too serious.

‘Pedro picked up a strain in training, probably a couple of weeks for him. With game break hopefully he doesn’t miss too many.

‘Probably the major one for us is Fraser Forster. Fracture in his foot and he will probably miss a couple of months.

When asked about the impact of Udogie’s and Porro’s injuries, he added: ‘It doesn’t change the way we play but I think I’ve said in the past a player brings their own sort of unique ability to each position.

‘The structure won’t change and the way we set up won’t change but different players bring different attributes. Pedro and Destiny have been outstanding for us this year.

‘Pedro has pretty much played every game apart from the first one where he didn’t start. Destiny every time he has been out there for us has been really important.

‘They’re both improving but as I said they’re missing now and there will be an opportunity for a couple of other guys to come in and make sure we maintain the levels we’ve set so far.’
