Sofia Vergara has invited fans inside her stunning $26 million home located in the very private and wealthy community of Beverly Park in the mountains above Beverly Hills.

The 51-year-old star from Barranquilla, Colombia wore a strapless black top with matching slacks as she talked to Architectural Digest in a clip for their Open Door series shared on Tuesday.

The actress – who is in the new Netflix series Griselda about notorious Colombian drug lord Griselda Blanco – bought the house in 2020 when she was still married to True Blood actor Joe Manganiello, whom she divorced last year.

It is a Tuscan-style abode, which was built in 1999 and at one point belonged to baseball player Barry Bonds. It has an impressive six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms.

The home has a whopping 17,000 square feet of space and sits on two acres of lush land. And there is more: there is a two-story guesthouse, home cinema and pool-side cabana.

During her interview, Sofia oozed charm as she talked about how her bedroom was ‘sexy’ and where the ‘good times’ happen, and the bar in the family room was her favorite ‘happy’ place.

‘Good to see you,’ cooed Sofia as she open the door to her home for Architectural Digest after working with designer Ohara Davies-Gaetano.

She started inside the abode which has antiques from Sweden, Spain, France, and Italy.

‘This is my dining room, my formal dining room, it’s one of my favorite rooms in the house and it really has nice details – it’s amazing the ceiling – it’s all hand-painted, and it brought this room to life.

‘One one of the special parts of the room is the tapestry that is 18 century French,’ she explained.

‘I love to collect China – one of the most important things of entertaining is putting effort in the details… I think that China is what helps achieve that….’ she said as she walked to a cabinet.

‘This cabinet is perfect for that – take a look,’ she said, and she shows off plate after plate, adding, ‘This is only the beginning, I have more!’

Sofia then walked into her massive kitchen with a generous island: ‘And of course another super important room is the kitchen. I am Latin so we love entertaining with a lot of food and a lot of friends, and we’re always here it’s hard to take people out of the kitchen,’ she noted.

‘I created comfortable rooms around the kitchen…. but still don’t want to leave the kitchen.’

She also said during her interview that she doesn’t cook and she doesn’t know anything about the oven in the kitchen but she was told she needed it because it was the best. ‘I only care that it looks amazing,’ the silver screen star added.

Next was the family room.

‘Here we are at the family room in the back is the formal living room. I love these rooms because they open to the backyard which is my favorite thing about the house – even if you’re upstairs in the guestroom so you can see the swimming pool,’ she noted.

She also liked that the living room space was open so you can see the second floor and I can look up to the guestrooms so when guests come out of their bedrooms they can see who is below.

In the family room she has parties and watches TV she said and she joked that’s where the ‘drama’ happens.

Sofia said that when she first saw the house it looked like something out of Transylvania and was horrific but she wanted it because of the backyard

'All I wanna do when I¿m home and sit in the backyard and relax. I usually sit in the back corner and drink coffee,' she said

Sofia said she loves collecting crystal birds because she loves birds and she loves crystals – and when she learned they existed together she was thrilled.

And she added that on her bucket list when she was young and living in Colombia was to collect are as she pointed to a sculpture and a painting.

The painting on the wall was from of a matador and was by Botero marked ’02.

‘There was something about the matadors that I was very attracted to,’ she said

One of the most important corners of the house, she said, was a large green cabinet with black rod iron detailing.

When Sofia opened it up she showed off the bar stocked with booze. She said this is where ‘happiness lives’ then she asked the cameraman, ‘What do you want?’

‘All I wanna do when I’m home and sit in the backyard and relax. I usually sit in the back corner and drink coffee,’ she said pointing to a large sofa. ‘I sit there and everyone comes and talks to me like I am Don Corleone [from The Godfather] and that’s where I receive guests.’

The pool is really important because from every bedroom you can see it, she shared.

‘I wanted to feeling like you were in the Mediterranean, like you were in Italy in a villa or hotel,’ said the icon.

The plants were picked very carefully: ‘There was nothing on the hill when I got the house so I planned it all. I wanted a tropical feeling with tropical plants – they’re not exactly supposed to be in the Mediterranean but it made me feel a little bit like I was in Colombia,’ explained the TV goddess.

She said the bedroom is ‘super cozy’ and it gets ‘a lot of light in the morning’ and she added the room made her feel ‘sexy and special.’

Sofia shared: ‘I have a thing for four prong beds and this one is really special because I love the color and the textures.

‘I thought it would be perfect for the room, it looks great with the house and is sexy,’ purred the pinup.

‘I hate heaters I can’t have heaters on so when it gets a little bit chilly I turn on the fireplace not only because the heat is better because it makes the room really beautiful with the light,’ shared the looker.

‘And this isn’t just any fireplace – it’s from the Waldorf Astoria in New York. I asked my designer to bring a pretty fireplace into the room and she found it!’

She added the designer ‘saved her life’ because she was in a ‘crossroads’ when she bought the house.
