Winnebago Comprehensive Healthcare System launches independent network

WINNEBAGO, Neb. (KCAU) — The Winnebago Comprehensive Healthcare System (WCHS) has announced that they’ve created and launched an independent network.

According to a release from WCHS, the new network was part of a series of phases that they believe represents a significant investment that will help advance their staff operations and improve patient experience.

“By engineering the new domain, phone systems, and network, the health system and those we serve enjoy enhanced bandwidth, functionality, reliability, and digital independence to support the nation-leading indigenous healthcare we are striving to provide,” Information Technology Manager Monti Molzen said.

The release said that the upgraded network will emphasize the importance of effective communication and will have the technology needed to innovate quality care and provide for today’s patients’ and relatives’ needs.

“We are thrilled to announce that the transition to our new independent network was a success,” WCHS CEO David Edwards said. “This bold move toward organizational independence allows us to revolutionize our internal processes and enhance patient interactions in person, on the phone, and online.”

WCHS said that they are taking steps to minimize service disruptions as they finish the transition.
