SOUL OF SPORT: An FA Cup-set to remember! Non-league Maidstone United shock League One Stevenage and reach the fourth round as fans, players and coaches go wild – with KEVIN QUIGLEY on the ground to capture the action

Welcome back to the Soul of Sport. For the latest episode of the series, KEVIN QUIGLEY travelled to the Gallagher Stadium to capture the action as Maidstone United reached the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Sam Corne’s penalty in first-half stoppage time secured the lowest-ranked side remaining in the competition a 1-0 victory against League One Stevenage, ensuring, against all the odds, they will be in the hat for the draw.

Boss George Elokobi has masterminded the club’s recovery from their relegation from the National League last season, with Maidstone, who ply their trade in the sixth tier, now eyeing up yet another cup upset.

The full-time whistle was greeted with wild scenes as coaches, players and supporters alike raced onto the pitch.

Our cameraman was on the ground to take in the best moments on a day to remember…
