An XL Bully owner has posted a bizarre rap video criticising the new laws banning the controversial breed, singing ‘No Rishi can’t put me down’.

The video shows a woman dancing behind her XL Bully, who is rolling around on its bed in her living room.

Dressed in grey tracksuit bottoms and a white hoodie, she dances and points to her dog while singing the rap.

Lyrics include ‘I don’t want no restrictions’ and ‘I’m a Bully baby, I might lick you to death’.

The owner sings ‘don’t you put no muzzle on me, stop putting the blame on me’ – referencing the rule that the dogs must be muzzled in public which came into force on December 31.

The video posted on TikTok features a remixed version of Jack Harlow’s Lovin on Me with the new lyrics: ‘I don’t want no restrictions, no Rishi can’t put me down.

‘Why you putting a ban on me, stop putting the blame on me.

‘I’m a Bully baby, I might lick you to death. I’m no ‘kill a baby’.

‘Press spreading hate, saying XL Bullies crazy. I got love on the street like Cilla, baby.

‘Bad owners maybe. I don’t want no restrictions, no Rishi won’t keep me down.

‘Don’t you put no muzzle on me, stop putting the blame on me.’

The video racked up 28,000 likes and 2550 saves within a day of being posted.

But the song divided opinions, with one TikTok user commenting ‘that was painful’ but another saying ‘I love this!’

One person said ‘this needs to stop’ but another posted ‘this needs to go viral’.

Another user commented: ‘This is such a powerful message’.

It comes after XL Bully owners shared videos of themselves wearing muzzles in solidarity with their dogs over the new rules.

One video shows Aidan taking dog Rolo out in Coventry on New Year’s Eve with the pair wearing matching black muzzles in protest against the new law.

While walking along the pavement Aidan repeatedly practises training techniques with the well-behaved Rolo, including commands such as ‘sit’ and ‘wait’.

Posting to TikTok, his partner Danielle said: ‘Our first walk with Rolo with the new restrictions and laws against XL bullies.

‘Aidan supporting Rolo today wearing a muzzle and making conversations with passers by, to show our animals should not be demonised by a muzzle or the law.

‘It is a sad, sad day across the dog communities [sic] today.’

XL Bully owners have protested a Government crackdown on the killer breed by muzzling themselves ‘in solidarity’ with their dogs

Another XL Bully owner shared a similar video, as he took his dog ‘Donkey’ out for a walk while wearing matching pink muzzles. He had also dressed his dog up in a colourful coat.

He then started barking at a woman he was walking the dog with, joking: ‘Look, who’s more vicious?’

From January 31, it will be an offence to own an XL Bully unless it is registered on the Index of Exempted dogs and is compliant with the requirements.

Dogs that are more than one year old after this date must be neutered by June 30 while younger dogs must receive the same treatment by December 31.
