The digital creator, who uses the handle @stepheintz, recently detailed her four-step approach for debloating and returning to healthy habits after an indulgent meal.
‘You wake up, you feel bloated, you feel disgusting, don’t worry. I got you,’ she began her nearly minute-long video.
Fitness influencer Steph Heintz, 36, from New York, detailed her four-step approach for debloating after Thanksgiving in a recent TikTok video
Heitz weighed roughly 167 pounds and fluctuated between a size 8 and size 12 (L) before losing 50 pounds and transforming her body (R)
The digital creator has maintained a weight of 118-120 pounds for the last three years
Heintz explained that the first thing you should do is ‘start your morning with breath work because it boosts your immune system and also has an anti-inflammatory effect.’
She said another added benefit of mindful breathing is that it ‘will help you realize that you do not need to panic’ about how much you ate.
‘It was just one day. You are fine,’ she assured viewers.
Heintz then advised making yourself a cup of dandelion root tea, saying it is ‘amazing for detoxing the body and letting go of impurities.’
Dandelion root tea can aid bloating because it acts as a diuretic and increases urine input, according to Healthline.
‘If there is ever a day to do it, it’s the day after Thanksgiving,’ Heintz said.
The fitness fanatic’s next tip was to sweat it out with a cardio workout that will make you feel ‘proud of yourself’ and ‘release the guilt.’
‘Feel glad you ate that pie, but if you hit a hard workout the next day you really will feel awesome,’ she explained.
‘Come back from our workout and chew on some fennel seeds,’ she added. ‘I’m not sure how many people know about this, but this is a great way to keep your appetite [in check] and also debloat your stomach.’

To keep your appetite in check and debloat your stomach, she recommended chewing on fennel seeds after your workout
One study suggests that eating fennel seeds reduces appetite and overeating at mealtimes, according to WebMD.
Heintz concluded her video by noting that you shouldn’t feel guilty or give up on your healthy habits after a day of overindulging.
‘Go about your day. You don’t need to fall off the wagon,’ she said. ‘You made amazing memories with your friend and your family and everything is fine.’
Heintz weighed roughly 167 pounds and fluctuated between a size 8 and a size 12 when she was in her 20s.
It wasn’t until she entered her 30s that she overhauled her diet and fitness routine, which helped her drop 50 pounds and keep it off for the past three years.
In another video posted on Instagram, she shared before-and-after pictures of herself, saying she now maintains a weight of about 118 pounds.
Heintz explained that the key to her success was consistency.
‘I used to say I didn’t have time, but the irony is that the less time I had and the busier I got with work and my career, the more I locked into my fitness and health journey and was able to keep the weight off,’ she wrote in the caption.
