Fear The Walking Dead: Troy Otto makes shocking return during midseason premiere after being left for dead in Mexico by Madison Clark

Troy Otto made a surprise return after being left for dead by Madison Clark on Sunday’s midseason premiere of Fear The Walking Dead.

The season eight episode titled Anton showed Troy [Daniel Sharman] shocking both Madison [Kim Dickens] and Victor Strand [Colman Domingo] after they were captured by an armed group.

‘Hey there, Madison,’ Troy said as he dropped a duffel bag near her and and Victor while they were both strapped to chairs. ‘Been a while.’

‘Troy,’ Madison said.

‘Yeah, see, I’m as surprised as you are. I mean, I knew I’d find you when I heard your radio broadcasts, but, uh, I didn’t think you’d be keeping the same company from Mexico,’ Troy said.

‘You’re making a mistake. He’s not who you think,’ said Strand’s new romantic partner Frank who met him after he reinvented himself as Anton.

‘That’s not Victor Strand?,’ Troy asked.

‘His name is Anton. You’re confused,’ Frank said.

‘My eyesight’s not what it once was, I’ll give you that my friend, but I think you’re the one that’s confused,’ said Troy who wore sunglasses inside.

‘About him and about her,’ he added while motioning toward Strand and Madison.

Troy said he was going to show everyone who harbored Madison the truth about her.

‘See that? I know it’s not very pretty to look at. Can happen, though. Take a bad hit to the head from, say, uh, a hammer,’ Troy said as he revealed his blinded left eye.

‘Which is what she did to me before she just left me for dead in Mexico. And that’s after she destroyed my family’s ranch. Can you believe that? My brother, my father, I lost them all because of her. And he helped,’ Troy said.

‘What do you want, Troy?,’ Madison asked.

‘Oh, the same thing I’ve wanted since you took it from me, Madison. Same thing I’ve been helping all these good people find since I pulled myself out of the rubble in Mexico. I’m just looking for a home, Madison. You see, you took mine from me, so I’m gonna take yours from you,’ Troy said referencing the PADRES community that Madison was trying to rebuild.

‘You’re never gonna find it,’ Madison declared.

Troy said he was going to find it with her help.

He then grabbed the hammer and threatened to hurt Strand and the others if she didn’t help him.

Victor told Frank and his adopted son Klaus that he loved them and admitted his true identity to everyone before Troy said his time was up.

Troy lifted the hammer and was about to strike Strand, but Daniel Salazar [Rubén Blades], June Dorie [Jenna Elfman], Sherry [Christine Evangelista] and others stormed in with guns and ordered him to stop.

Madison said the place she was building was going to expand and Troy warned everyone that she would betray them like she did to him.

‘I won’t pretend I haven’t done things I regret. But the place I’m building, it’s not about me. It’s about keeping something bigger alive,’ Madison said.

‘And what’s that?,’ Troy asked.

‘My kids. I’m gonna build that place into what it should’ve always been, for them, for Alicia,’ Madison said.

Troy taunted Madison that he killed Alicia and she called him a liar.

‘Don’t believe me? Open it,’ Troy said as he kicked the bag toward Madison.

‘It belonged to Alicia. I took it off her corpse after I killed her,’ Troy said.

Madison grabbed the hammer and lunged at Troy, but Strand stopped her.

‘See, I would’ve put her down, Madison. After all the wandering around I did in Mexico, I thought it was only right that Alicia should do the same. You know, maybe one day you’ll find her. Or maybe she’ll find you, or maybe not, and finish the job. You want a fight, Madison? We’ll give you that. We’ll give you a fight. My question for you is …What are you even fighting for?,’ Troy said.

Madison took shelter with them after being on the run from a hostile group and surprised Strand with her arrival.

Strand tried to betray Madison by turning her over, but Klaus helped her escape and convinced Strand to help her.

While hiding from zombies, Strand explained that he left Texas and washed up with others in Georgia, but they refused his help and ended up dying.

The midseason premiere episode was directed by Danay Garcia, 39, who portrays Luciana Galvez on the show.

Fear The Walking Dead will return next week on AMC.

The Walking Dead spin-off series premiered on August 2015 and season eight will be its final season.
